Privacy Policy
How your photos and account information are handled, from local processing to Cloud downloads.
Last updated:
This policy explains how UnblurPhoto handles information when you use unblurphoto.io. For questions or requests about your data, see Contact Support.
Photo processing: Local and Cloud
Local processing runs on your device. Your photo is processed in your browser and is not uploaded for Local enhancement. Local processing does not require an account. The browser still downloads model files and software, and the website may make separate requests for account features, security and website analytics. Local photo processing does not mean the website makes no network requests.
Cloud processing uploads your photo only when you explicitly submit a Cloud job. It requires an account. The original is uploaded to private object storage, checked and prepared for processing. The original or a working copy is supplied to Replicate or Runware for the selected steps. The uploaded original is not replaced by the Local preview.
We process these files to deliver the enhancement you requested and make the result available to you. Model providers process the images they receive under their own policies; their retention practices are separate from our download and cleanup windows.
Temporary image storage and downloads
Cloud results are available to download for 24 hours after completion. Save them to your device before the displayed expiry. Buying more credits or maintaining a subscription does not extend this window.
Unsubmitted uploads expire after one hour. After a job finishes, its input is kept for up to one hour to support a retry. If a processing provider has not confirmed a job's status, related files may be retained while we investigate and resolve the job.
Expiry ends access through the service; it is not a promise that every stored copy is physically deleted at that exact moment. Scheduled cleanup removes expired files, and interruptions can delay it. Our Cloud storage also has a two-day fallback lifecycle rule. These rules do not control copies or logs held separately by a model provider.
ZIP files are prepared in your browser from Cloud results that are still available. New ZIP files are not uploaded or stored as server archives. Closing the page stops ZIP preparation. A ZIP already saved to your device remains there after the Cloud results expire.
Account, payment and task information
We handle the information needed to provide the account and Cloud service:
- Account details, such as your email, name, sign-in provider and profile image, and a password hash if you register with a password.
- Payment references and status, subscription periods, credit balances, reservations and transaction records. Payment details are entered through hosted checkout; we do not ask you to send full card details to support.
- Cloud task settings, processing status, provider references, result expiry and error information. Task history and billing records are separate from temporary photo files.
- Messages and attachments you choose to send to support.
- Technical information used for service operation and security, including connection information, browser information and access logs.
How we use this information
We use it to sign you in, process Cloud jobs, deliver downloads, maintain credit balances, handle billing and support, send account or service messages, and protect against abuse. Website analytics help us understand which pages are used.
Registration does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing newsletter.
Cookies and website analytics
We use necessary cookies to maintain your sign-in session. Deleting or blocking them may sign you out or prevent account features from working.
We use Umami at analytics.peekkit.com to measure website visits. Its tracker sends page and referrer addresses, page titles, browser language and screen size. We configure it to exclude URL query parameters and fragments. Our integration does not attach your account email, photos or processing settings to analytics events, and does not set analytics cookies.
Hosting and security services may separately process connection information. Excluding parameters from analytics does not remove them from every infrastructure log.
Services involved in processing
The service uses third parties for specific purposes:
- Replicate and Runware: Cloud image processing.
- Cloudflare R2: private Cloud file storage and distribution of public model files.
- Vercel: website hosting and request handling.
- Waffo: hosted payments and payment status updates.
- Google: optional Google sign-in.
- Email delivery providers: account verification, recovery and service messages, using SMTP.
- Umami: website analytics as described above.
A provider receives the information needed for its role. Provider systems, logs and retention policies are managed separately from this website.
Retention, account deletion and requests
Your account information remains while you use the account. Payment, credit and task records are used to operate the service and resolve billing questions; they do not follow the 24-hour image download window.
You can request account deletion from account settings. Deleting an account removes its profile and linked account records in our application database. It does not guarantee immediate deletion of every object-storage file, previously created backup, hosting log, email record or provider-held copy. Temporary Cloud files remain subject to storage cleanup rules. Records held by payment or model providers are governed separately.
Contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, or to ask about records remaining after account deletion. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. You do not need to send your original photos to make a privacy request.
Security
We use access controls and signed Cloud file URLs to limit access to your files. Keep your account credentials and download links private. No online service can guarantee absolute security; report suspected account or data-access problems through Contact Support.
